Mildred "Mickey" Schenck

Mildred Irene Schenck, 63, passed away on July 25, 2013. She was born September 9, 1949 in Greenville, South Carolina to Robert Eugene and Mary Ethel Gruber. Mickey married Jerry Guy Schenck on August 23, 1968 in Layton, Utah.

She lived in Syracuse, Utah and Victorville, California and volunteered with the Davis County Sheriff''s Posse. She was also a registered nurse in California and Ogden Regional Medical Center for over twenty years.

Mickey''s interests included reading, genealogy, watching J-TV, spending time with her family, and going on Harley Adventures!

Surviving are her daughter, Michele (Robert) Billings; son, Brian Schenck; sisters: Cindy (Bob) Bellucci, Gail (Dennis) Bodily, Patricia Gruber; and brothers: Paul (Donna Rae) Gruber and Robert (Robin) Gruber Jr., and Robert Owens. Mickey also had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Guy Schenck and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
