Mildred Marion Whitney Taylor
July 3, 1922 ~ May 13, 2019
Mildred “Millie” is now reunited with her first love, Reed C. Taylor. She passed away in her sleep and went peacefully. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Harry J. Whitney and Edna May (Luddington) Whitney, her husband, Reed of 56 years, and a granddaughter, Alaina Jo Faber.
Mildred left behind a loving family of four children, Lynn Taylor; Paula (Mike) Faber of West Valley; Darla (Gary) Tyler of Taylor, AZ; and Mark (Cindy) Taylor of Riverdale, UT; 16 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred, Reed, and the family moved around the Western States including Ogden, Great Falls, Montana, Elko, Nevada, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Murray, Utah.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Waterfall Canyon Ward. She served as both Ward and Stake Relief Society Presidents
She loved spending time in her yard and house. In her later years her interests became “The Young and the Restless” and “Jeopardy” as loud as she could make them. She started every day with a Diet Coke!
A brief Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Please dress accordingly. It is more important to be comfortable and warm. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
She has requested no flowers. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to Primary Children’s Hospital.
