Miles “Mike” W Allred WASHINGTON TERRACE --- Miles "Mike" W Allred, 75, of Washington Terrace, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home with his wife and family by his side from causes incidents to age. He was born July 6, 1933, in Lawrence, Utah, to Jasper Wesley and Sarah Allred. Mike served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1959 in Korea and the Far East Command. He was honorably discharged. Mike married Leona Fay Dunn on May 1, 1970, in Willard. Mike was known in Washington Terrace for the volunteer fund-raisers he did for the Washington Terrace Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Leona, Washington Terrace; daughters and spouses, Barbara and Bill Basham, South Ogden; Vicki Allred, California; his step-daughters and spouses, Loretta and Rod Park, West Point; Winnie Lee and Mark Moulton, Ogden; Kathryn and Kenneth Coon, Sandy; and Richelle McKinney, Sandy. He has 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister and her husband, Juanita and Don Fredrickson, and his brother, Delon "Bun" Mangum. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Ray Allred, and two grandchildren, Heidi Coon and Karney Kendrick McKinney. Funeral services will be at Monday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
