Milon Jan Browning of Woods Cross, Utah, passed away peacefully at the age of 68 Friday, July 31, 2009. Jan was born July 10, 1941, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Milon and Hattie Browning. He was a member of The LDS Church, and spent his life in service to his church, family and friends. In high school he lettered in baseball. He went on a mission to the Eastern States Mission. He married Glenys Marie Neal September 14, 1963, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1966 with a Baccalaureate of Science in Accounting. He worked for the Browning Freight Lines, the IRS, and as an insurance adjuster in addition to his many years working for Job Service later called Work Force Services. He enjoyed working as a Boy Scout leader, a baseball coach, traveling, riding motorcycles, and serving others. Much of his spare time was spent doing handyman type work for others. Jan found fulfillment in life, both at work and serving others, through providing quality, dependable, work. This and his sense of integrity gained him many friends and the respect of those with whom he associated. He is survived by Glenys Browning; three sons : Jonathan, Eric (Robin), and Michael Browning, and one daughter: Rebekah (Jared Smith) Kammeyer-Smith, eleven grandchildren; and four sisters: Karen (Vern) Davis, DeAnne (Mark) Madsen, Kathleen (Steve)Walston, and Pamela (Tom) Mallory. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. (Orchard Drive), Bountiful, UT. Friends may call prior to the Services from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment at a later date.
