Misael Chavez, 28, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010, peacefully at his home.
He was born September 17, 1981 to Enrique Chavez and Abigail Lopez de Chavez in San Angel, Michoacan, Mexico. Moved to Ogden at 12 years of age to make Utah his home
Misael enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially horseback riding and mountain biking on the East Bench. He loved being with his family, playing basketball and listening to musica romantica. He was great uncle, brother, nephew and friend to all he knew and adored. He was an easy going person who possessed a golden heart and who was always smiling.
Becoming a big brother to Audel is where he really took on a lot of responsibility, which he did not take lightly. He had a deep love for his parents. He never wanted to leave them with any bad memories of himself by being an excellent son who never complained about his endeavors.
Misael is survived by his parents, Enrique Chavez and Abigail Lopez de Chavez; five brothers and one sister, Jose (MariaIsabel) Chavez, Enrique Jr. (Lorena) Chavez, Antonio (Olga) Chavez, Abelardo (Josefina) Chavez, Audel (Crispina) Chavez, Marta Chavez; maternal grandmother, Ofelia Lopez, Uncle Juan (Bertha) Lopez, Godfather Serafin Aparicio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death and welcomed to Heaven by paternal grandparents, Jesus Chavez and Marta Gonzalez, as well as his maternal grandfather, Elias Lopez and a cousin, Juan Elias Lopez.
The family wishes to thank all those who helped with Misaels'' care.
