Mitchell B. Evans
OGDEN – Our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend to everyone, Mitchell Blaine Evans (Vause) passed away Sunday morning, September 21, 2008.
He was born July 2, 1985 in Ogden, a son of Korleen Weis and Kevin Vause.
He graduated from Bonneville High School. Mitchell was currently enrolled in Salt Lake Community College Culinary Arts program and had plans to move to Oregon following graduation to become a chef.
Mitchell loved his family, was a fantastic and creative cook, and his favorite past time was riding his bike with his friends. He also enjoyed watching the sunset and looking at the stars and would spend as much time as possible in the mountains. Our son loved to give everyone a bad time just to see the looks on their faces, but would help anyone if he could. Mitchell also loved working with his Dad at the Evergreen Ranch in Eden and going on walks in the mountains.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Korleen and Jody Weis, his father, Kevin Vause, sisters, Misty Evans and Jocelyn Weis, brother Nickolas Dunkley, grandparents, Sally (Dallas) Williams, John and Janet Weis, Lorraine Vause, Gordon Evans, his great-grandmother, Alfreda Evans, niece, Marley Cross and nephew Korbin Cross, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family would be greatly appreciated.
