Miyuki “Mickie” Ishizuka
Miyuki "Mickie" Ishizuka, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the age of 90. Mickie was born to Tome and Rokuro Doi on June 6, 1922, in Gardena, California.
She retired from the Tooele Army Depot after 25 years as an auditor. She served as the secretary/treasurer for her local Methodist church. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing, reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and sumo wrestling, and playing the slots at Thunder Valley Casino.
Mickie is survived by her daughter Susanne Makishi; son, Gene (Beth) Ishizuka; youngest daughter, Julia (Ed) Meier; five grandchildren, Michael Walters, Rachael Walters, Leslie Meier Montgomery, Shawna Meier Werner, and Benjamin Ishizuka; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Noboru Miyoko, who was killed in Italy during World War II; second husband of 62 years, "Hank" Ishizuka, her parents, one brother, and one sister.

The family would like to recognize Susie and Rachael for their selfless efforts in caring for Grandma and Grandpa, which allowed them to live out their lives in the comfort of their Ogden home. The family would also like to thank her wonderful caregiver, Kelly Candelaria, and her Access nurses, who provided so much loving care.
