Mona Lorraine Burks Argyle

Mona Lorraine Burks Argyle passed away peacefully at her residence in West Haven, Utah.

She was born on July 2, 1922 in West Point, NE. She was the third of eleven children and grew up in Onawa, IA. She later lived in Omaha, NE before moving to Ogden.

She is survived by her children Judy Argyle of Hooper and Jim Burks (Bette) of Rockville, Maryland, her two step-children Janet Petersen (Robert) of Ogden and David Argyle of Layton, two sisters, several nephews and nieces, and numerous grandchildren.

She was blessed with two wonderful marriages and was preceded in death by husbands William Curtis Burks and Lorenzo Francis Argyle.

Mona spent much of her life caring for others, living life to the fullest, and always was ready for the next adventure. She loved being with family and friends, loved to read, to travel, and was an avid Utah Jazz fan. Mona was always there for her family and friends, and will always be remembered for her caring, compassion, and her positive attitude about life. Everyone loved Mona and she will truly be missed.

Mona's family thanks Peach Tree Assisted Living staff and Comfort WORx for their kind and loving care.

Gathering will be held for family and friends on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
