Mona Miles Nebeker

Mona Miles Nebeker died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born July 26, 1935 in Altamont, Utah to Edgar Henry and Olive Thacker Miles.

Mona was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in all of the church auxiliaries. She loved studying her family history and doing genealogy, and collected many stories that are treasured by her family.

Mona spent many years working for South Ogden City and Weber Basin Job Corp. She loved and adored the people she worked with.

She had a lovely singing voice and was often heard singing around her home. She always put the welfare of others first and spent much of her life serving friends and family. She was a selfless, loving person and will be missed so much by her children, grandchildren and extended family.

She is survived by her four children, Stanley (Glenys) Nebeker of Roy; Carolyn (David) Fenn of Lake Arrowhead, CA; Joni (Don) Sowell of Littlefield, AZ; and Bill (Nalini) Nebeker of San Bernardino, CA; ten grandchildren (the loves of her life) and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a much loved sister, Veva Clegg of San Diego, CA; and a brother, Douglas.

The family extends a special thanks to the ICU staff of the McKay- Dee Hospital.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Highlands Ward Chapel, 5855 Skyline Dr., Ogden. Also, a memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. in Altamont, Utah.
