Monte B (Tiny) Williams, 67, beloved son, father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend passed away at home unexpectedly, in the early morning August 20, 2018. He was born August 22, 1950 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Marler Norton and Betty Lou Buck Williams.
Monte's father passed away when he was 8 months old and he was happy to be raised in a loving family with his step-father, Willard L. Smith, mother, and brother, Donald.
Monte married young to Linda Watson and together they had two children, Tyler and Chantry. They later divorced. He married Linda West and two more children were added, Alisha and Jared. They were later divorced. He married Stephenie Phelps, and three more children were added, Brandy, Heather and Lindsie, and they have been married for 22 years.
Monte was a very talented artist and worked in the sign business from his teen years until his passing. He worked for Utah Sign Co., Young Electric Sign Co, for 35 years, Sign Seekers, and at the time of his passing he was working for Allied Sign Co. in Ogden, Utah.
Monte was a "Harley Boy" and had many dear friends he called family in the Harley Davidson Community.
He is survived by his wife Stephenie, Ogden; his mother Betty L Schulze and brother Donald of Clearfield; son, Tyler Williams, Seattle, Washington; daughter, Chantry Huff, North Salt Lake; daughter, Alisha Hall, son, Jared Williams, Ogden; daughter, Brandy Abel, Clinton; daughter, Heather Householder, Ogden; Lindsie Meyerhoffer, Farr West; and granddaughters Maya Chavez, Layton; Grace Hall and Rose Hall of Ogden; grandsons Turner Hickman of North Salt Lake; Kayden Gomez and Jayce Jones, Clinton; Mackae Meyerhoffer and Mackael Meyerhoffer, Farr West.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marler Norton Williams, and his step-father, Willard L. Smith.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
Celebration of life will be held Friday evening, 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dar's, 240 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
