SOUTH WEBER a€" N. Wayman Cash, 82, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 6, 1928 in Logan, Utah, a son of Joseph Waite and Ethel Fullmer Cash. He attended schools in Cache County and graduated from Weber High School. He also graduated from Weber College.

Wayman married his eternal companion, Louise Poll, on February 4, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Wayman worked for the government for 33 years, retiring from Hill Air Force Base in 1984. After his retirement, he was employed as a school bus driver for Davis County, where many of his grandchildren enjoyed being driven to school by their Grandpa!

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints South Weber 1st Ward. He served in the Elders Quorum and High Priest Presidencies and in the Sunday School Presidency, along with being active in Temple ordinance work. His current and favorite calling was being the greeter in Sacrament meeting.

He was active in sports, ran track and played football in high school. He also played baseball and football for Weber College where he made the first touchdown in the new stadium in 1952. He was an outstanding softball pitcher for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and horseback riding. He loved horses. His favorite was his buckskin mare, Sandy, which he enjoyed watching compete in High School Rodeo at State and National Levels. He was his children and grandchildren''s number one fan at all of their various activities.

Survivors include his wife, Louise, of South Weber; four daughters, Jeri and husband Dean Dayton, Julie Fernelius, Jan Hassell and husband Paul Mathewson, Jill and husband Layne Kap, all of South Weber; 25 grandchildren, Katie and husband Britt, Cody, Jamie and husband Lane, Jennifer and fiancAC. Scott, Marcie, Megan and husband Jeff, Jared, Jordan, Heidi, Jason, Carlee Keelee, Whitney and husband Tom, Mikelle, Kiah, Noah, Ruby Jane, Romney, Finn, Adeline, and eight great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by four brothers, Joseph Goodwin Cash, Owen L. (Marie) Cash, William L. (Ila) Cash, and Darrell E. (Gayle) Cash; a brother-in-law Joseph Sears (Gayle) Jr.

His parents and one sister, Irene Cash Sears, preceded him in death.

He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. "Good Night My Dear".

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will greet friends at the mortuary on Sunday, March 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
