NaDene Carver, age 90, gracefully passed from this life through the veil to her eternal home on August 4, 2011. She was surrounded by wonderful ministering angels, both seen and unseen, in the comfort of her home. NaDene was born on January 8, 1921 in Muldrow Oklahoma. She was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to her eternal companion Willard Carver on November 22, 1939 by David O. McKay. NaDene served faithfully as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in various callings throughout her life. Her callings included primary teacher, gospel doctrine teacher, Cub Scouts leader and Relief Society President. She served in several Relief Society presidencies, including as a counselor in a presidency while in her early eighties. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing clothes and wedding dresses for her children and friends and creating beautiful quilts--all labors of love. Later in life, she worked at Hill Air Force base to support her children''s missions and education. Her most noteworthy accomplishment in life is the eternal impact for good that she had on her seven children, 26 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren as well as neighbors and strangers. During the dark hours of The Great Depression her light shone as she often fed the homeless and hungry. Her example of charity, love, kindness and discipleship challenge us all to live better lives. NaDene was a patriotic woman that supported the World War II effort working at the defense depot while her husband served in the military in Europe. She loved to fly our country''s flag and instilled a sense of loyalty and love for freedom in each of her children. NaDene and her husband raised their family in a humble home in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. She fostered with love the passion her children have for nature and wildlife. She loved the pet squirrels and magpies and tenderly tolerated the pet snakes and rodents that were brought into her home. She rescued cats, patched scrapes and bruises and often tenderly wiped the tears of each of her seven children. In her passing she was greeted by her husband, her daughter Ellen Ann, her mother and father Gertrude and Wesley Butcher, her grandson Scott Lundell and other family and friends. Surviving are daughters Irma Carver and Mary Hall (George), Ogden; and sons Dean Carver (Linda), Virginia; Dennis Carver (Barbara), Layton; Don Carver, Ogden; and Darin Carver (Holly), Pleasant View. NaDene lived as a true disciple of Jesus Christ and died with grace and gentleness. Thanks to all who visited and served NaDene at the waning of her physical strength. A special thanks to hospice and especially to our friend Toakesa (Kesa) Fangupo for their tender love and caring. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:28
