NaDene Parker Cox, 77, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, after struggling with heart complications.
She was born January 7, 1938 in Ogden, Utah to David Fay and Vida Arave Parker.
On October 4, 1956, NaDene married Robert Duane Cox in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in various callings.
NaDene was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Hooper Women’s Club.
She enjoyed having Sunday dinners with all of her family and friends. She was known for her pies and candy making skills. NaDene loved to cook and owned a catering business for several years which she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved shopping, jewelry, chocolate, making porcelain dolls, camping, and being with her family and friends.
NaDene is survived by her loving husband, Robert Duane, who never left her side; their children, Kathy (Gaylen) Heaton, Bluffdale; Terry (Mitzi) Cox, Riverton; Laurie (Brad) Tye, Taylorsville; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn (Juergen) Mudrow, Hooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Stacia, great-granddaughter, Kynslee, and three brothers, Ronald, David and Darrel Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Hooper 3rd Ward Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
