Nadine M. Anderson
ROY - Nadine M. Anderson, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, at the McKay-Dee Hospital, after a long-term battle with Alzheimer''s and Parkinson''s.
Born April 9, 1925, to Rhoda Nelson Seely and Justus Earl Seely in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, she came to the U.S. with her family when she was five years old. Nadine graduated from Ogden High school in 1943.
She married Carl G. Anderson, Jr., on August 5, 1942. Mom was an excellent homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and always a kind, gracious, and elegant person.
Nadine enjoyed family activities, especially at the cabins in Evergreen Estates, Utah. She avoided the spotlight, including the big one we lovingly call "The Sun", but was a superb event planner. Nadine also enjoyed boating, camping, and spending time with grandchildren. Nadine loved card playing with friends, kids, and grandkids, golfing, cooking, sewing, quilting, reading, and travel.
She retired from the IRS, Ogden, in 1986 after 16 years of service.
She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Nadine is survived by her loving, caring, and totally devoted husband of 66 years, six children, Dennis (Marcia), Richard (Daphne), Karyl Chugg Mounteer (Boyd), Ron (Erika), Kim Dalton (Wayne), Kelly Spencer (Steve), 29 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, her sister, Winona Thorderson, and her brother, Calvin Earl Seely (Dot).
Nadine was preceded in death by Mother and Father, sisters Reta and Erleen, son-in-law Kent M. Chugg, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
The family would like to express special thanks to Debbie, Kathy, Andrea, and Cynthia for their kind and loving care.
Our thanks go out to all our friends and family who were there by her side over the years, and to the emergency personnel, nurses and doctors at McKay-Dee who helped make Mom''s passing peaceful and comfortable.
