Nadine H. Benedict

Nadine H. Benedict passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008, her son Dave and his wife Pam at her side.

Born November 5, 1927 to Marion and Rita Hansen in Brigham City, Utah. She made acquaintance with William F. Benedict through war time correspondence letters.

Shortly after the war, they met for the first time and were soon married in Glendale, California on March 30, 1946. They moved to Kaysville, Utah in 1955. Her younger brother Jerry introduced them to the Uintahs for fishing, camping and hunting, which fostered a passion for those mountains and had a profound effect on the entire family that would last more than a lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William F. Benedict, a loss from which she could not recover.

She is survived by two brothers Jerry (Nina) Hansen of Wyoming, and Duane Jorgenson of Ogden, her three sons, Dave (Pam) Benedict of St. George, Utah; Tom (Kathy) of Francis, Utah; and Ross (Teri) of Kamas, Utah; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road.
