Nadine Allen Green

A life well lived, Nadine Allen Green, 93, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Nadine was born on November 9, 1924 in Layton, UT, a daughter of Marvin Weaver and Mary Leona Love Allen.
On February 2, 1944, Nadine married Earl Green in Ogden, UT, and they remained in Ogden throughout their lives.
Nadine worked at Hill Field prior to marrying Earl, and was a longtime Sears Roebuck employee, eventually retiring from their service department in 1986.
She enjoyed bowling in a league with Earl, making ceramic dolls, maintaining her beautiful yard and flower garden, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and greats. Family was everything to her.
Nadine will be remembered for her feisty and fiery personality and how she always put her children’s needs before her own. She was very independent and in addition to her fighting spirit she was very creative and skilled at crafts.
Nadine is survived by her children, Jolene (Donald) Andrus, Uintah, and Kim (Jerilyn) Green, Morgan; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; parents, and brother, Joseph Allen, who died fighting in Okinawa in WWII.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at South Morgan Cemetery, 355 South State St., Morgan. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
The family wishes to thank her young neighbor and friend, Hunter, and his family for their special care.
