Nancy Camille Griffith Higley was born in Lakepoint, Utah to Joseph Quincy Griffith and Mary Jefferies Griffith on September 22, 1928. She died on October 15, 2010.
Our Mother had four children Steven (Connie), Mary (Dave), John (Jan), and James (Stephanie) who all survive her. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Curry and Lois Bryan; two brothers, Dick Griffith and Bill Griffith, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her love and support for her children was never compromised regardless of whatever mistakes any of us made. She never showed any disappointment in anything we did, good or bad and we knew without a doubt at all times that she was there to love and support us.
Mom married our father Armond E. Higley (Hammer) on October 3, 1946. Dad passed on August 15, 1978. She was incredibly strong and resilient through very difficult times. Mom grew up in Lakepoint and Tooele, Utah. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She was president of the Davis Park Ladies Golf Association. She was active in the LDS Church and held many callings. Mom came from a very loving family of eight children and she dearly loved her parents and each of her siblings; Jeff Griffith, Mary Jane Curry, Lois Bryan, Joe Griffith, Dick Griffith, Bill Griffith and Dan Griffith. She truly loved her entire family. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice, The Cottage at Bountiful House and special friend Camille Bradshaw.
