KAYSVILLE a€" Naomi Ruth Lenon Christensen, 90, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home.

She was born October 5, 1921 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of James E. and Myrtle Thompson Lenon.

Naomi married Harley D. Christensen on March 14, 1942 in Chester, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed Relief Society and her many friends there. Her artistry included hand oil painted photographs. She was an excellent food preserver and jams, fruits, juice, pickles, etc. were cherished.

Most important to Naomi was her family. Her children were very important and she was always a friend to them as well as their mom. They could depend on her for anything.

Naomi was proud of her Indian Heritage and was a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe. She enjoyed many years of parties with her friends in their birthday club. They called themselves the Grinnie Minnies.

Surviving are her husband Harley Christensen, Kaysville; sons, Dee (Hazel) Christensen, Sunset; Ned (Sue) Christensen, Midway; Mike (Lanette) Christensen, Ogden; daughters, Kathleen Chynoweth, Kaysville; Jill Christensen Day, Kaysville; brother, James Lenon, CA; sisters, Roxine Stone, Shelley, ID; and Virginia Cowdell, Salt Lake City.

Preceded in death by her son, Kevin Christensen, grandchildren, Robert Chynoweth, Wendi Chynoweth, parents, brothers, Denzel Lenon, Lee Lenon and sister, Vivian Cutler.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
