Nathan Paul Graham
Nathan Paul Graham, 37, of Arlington, VA died suddenly on December 10, 2015 of sepsis while on business in China.
Nate was born on June 10, 1978 in Layton, Utah to Jim and Lyndia Graham. He graduated from Northridge High and then served an LDS mission to Honduras. He graduated from Weber State University and later earned his Master’s degree in International Relations from George Washington University in Washington DC.
In Washington DC he met his love, Melanie Mickelson, of Ames, Iowa. Nate and Melanie were married on May 5, 2005 in the Nauvoo LDS temple. They are parents of four sons, Rowan, 6, James, 4, Lincoln, 22 months, and Griffin, 2 months. Nate's life was his family, his love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and fly fishing. He had just been released as LDS Bishop of the Crystal City Ward in Arlington Virginia.
Nate is survived by his wife Melanie, his four sons, his parents, Melanie’s parents Janine Tueller Mickelson of Bountiful and Alan Mickelson of Iowa. Also surviving are Nate’s siblings Robyn (Chad) Rackham, Karen (David) Magleby, Christa (Guy) Morgan, Matt (Jennie) Graham, Mike Graham and Katie Graham, Ben (Natalie) Graham and Melanie’s siblings, Spencer and Daniel Mickelson, and Bethany (Joe) Sines.
We sincerely thank Nate's coworkers at Proctor and Gamble who stood by him in China as if they were family. We are deeply indebted to Mason Chenn, a bishopric counselor to Nate, who was coincidently in China and rushed to Nate’s side. He gave immense help and comfort to our family.
