Nathan George Stoddard
March 3, 1991 – October 5, 2015
Nathan George Stoddard passed away October 5, 2015 in Cedar City, Utah as a result of an airplane accident.
He was born March 3, 1991 in Bountiful, UT.
While we will miss him dearly, Nathan will be fondly remembered for his charisma, and love for every person he met. In Nathan’s short lifetime he changed the lives of friends and family alike. Through his love of planes, golf and the Lord, Nathan lived his life completely and happily.
Nathan is a graduate of Syracuse High School class of 2009. He was a member of the High School Golf Team, the DECA team and was loved by his teammates and coaches. He loved sports and scouting and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Nathan served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in the Virginia Richmond Mission. He loved every minute and every person he met.
Most recently, Nathan had been a flight instructor with the goal of becoming a commercial airline pilot. He found great joy as an instructor and developed lasting friendships with his students. Flying was his dream job and he lived the dream.
Nathan is survived by his parents, Peter and Joann Stoddard; Sister, Emilie (Cameron) Miller; Grandfather, George (Cherie) Stoddard; Grandmother, Jean Frances and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives have been changed by his infectious and loving personality.
The viewing will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, Roy, UT 84067 and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the West Point 10th Ward, 2852 West 300 North, West Point, UT 84015 followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the West Point Cemetery, on 4000 West in West Point, immediately following the funeral.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the LDS chapel located at 5750 Shull Road Huber Heights OH 45424.
