Neal Orvin Stockett passed away in his home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 after battling pancreatic cancer. Neal was born September 13, 1959 at Luke AFB in Glendale Arizona to Zack and Jewell Stockett of Mountain Green.
Neal married the love of his life JoAnne Preece Stockett on February 11, 1983. Neal is survived by his wife, and children, Brandon (Lesley), Matt, Nachelle (Mike), Nicole (Jason), Alisha (Will), Brooke, 8 grandchildren, his parents, and siblings. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.
Neal’s favorite hobby was riding the ATV trails of Utah with family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing with his sons and constantly improving his elaborate home network system. He loved spending time with his friend of 37 years, Casey King, riding ATVs and playing racquetball. He loved to travel and had a passion for photography. He always said he took the most pride in taking care of his wife.
He proudly served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Africa and served in various callings for the Church including Bishop, Scout Master, and Young Men’s leader. Neal loved computers and has worked at Wells Fargo as a Team Lead of the Network Security Service Management Team.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Road, Kaysville. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Mt. Green Cemetery.
