Nedra R. Devlin

Nedra R. Devlin SOUTH OGDEN – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, Nedra Robson Devlin, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Nedra was born January 3, 1927 in Logan, Utah to Edna Rebecca Hansen and John Elmer Robson. She married W. Joseph Devlin on February 20, 1954. Joseph preceded her in death on October 28, 1987. Nedra retired from Defense Depot Ogden in 1987. She was a volunteer for St. Benedict’s Hospital for many years. After she was widowed in 1987, she became the matriarch of the family; through her actions, she taught us all unconditional love and acceptance. Her sense of humor and her fun-loving nature were an inspiration to everyone. She was intellectually curious, an avid patron of theater and opera, and she enjoyed reading and traveling; we were all lucky to have had the opportunity to travel with her, including several family cruises and adventures throughout the world. Nedra is survived by her four children, Marjorie Devlin, Elizabeth (Kirk) Anderson, Thomas (Annette) Devlin, Greg Devlin (Craig Chapman), five grandchildren, Lyndsey Tucker (Anthony Mazzetti), Michael Devlin, Devin Tucker, Brian Devlin, and Andrea Devlin; her first great-grandson, Dominic Mazzetti, her sister, Iris Westra, and countless extended family members, friends and associates. Memorial Mass and celebration of life will be offered on Monday, October 12 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, South Ogden. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Newman Center at Weber State University or to the St. Benedict’s Foundation-Ministry of the Sisters of St. Benedict. Funeral Directors Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
