SYRACUSE – Nedra Allen Florence born February 1, 1934 in Huntsville, Utah to Louis and Merle Bracken Allen, passed away in her home on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Nedra was the oldest daughter of seven children. Her mother died at a young age and left Nedra to care for her younger siblings. She has always been a wonderful mother to all.
Nedra loved dancing and performing. She loved her days as cheerleader at Weber High School and continued to teach others her love of dance. She had her own dance studio in the basement of her home and produced many wonderful dance recitals. She also helped choreograph many Road Shows and Dance Festivals.
She married Bruce Allen Florence on August 21, 1959, together they raised five children.
Nedra had several loves in her life. The first being the love of the Savior and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her family and could always be seen supporting them in piano recitals, basketball games and dance performances. She loved taking her girls and later her grandchildren shopping. They always knew it was better to go shopping with grandma.
Everyone always loved to eat at Grandma’s. You knew you would never go hungry at Grandma’s house.
Nedra and her son Mick ran Universal Genealogy Center for over 35 years together. Mom loved connecting people together and finding long lost cousins and relatives.
