Neil Sinclair McCrary

September 28, 1927 ~ July 3, 2018

Neil Sinclair McCrary passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.  He was born on September 28, 1927 to Austin Cannon McCrary and Kathrine Sinclair.  On June 25, 1945 he married LeOra Garner in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Neil served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served in five bishoprics and many other church callings.

He is survived by his sons: Phil McCrary, Ogden; Calvin (Marsi) McCrary, Washington Terrace; and David (Jane) McCrary, Clearfield; his daughters, LaNeil (Phillip) Jensen, Riverdale; and Kathy Arrowsmith, Clinton; 23 grandchilren; 73 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers: William P. McCrary, David McCrary, and Gary McCrary; sisters: Linda Gravitt, Lorna Steed and Wanda McCrary; his son, Dee LeGrand McCrary; grandson, Richard “Rick” McCrary; great-granddaughter, Carly LeOra McCrary; and great-grandson, Andrew McCrary.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, where military honors will be accorded.
