Neil S. Udy

Neil S. Udy, 79, passed away with his loving wife and family at his side Saturday, May 26, 2012.

He was born February 27, 1933 in Plymouth, Utah to Oscar M. and Velma Steed Udy. The family moved to Ogden when he was 8 years old.

On July 23, 1953, Neil married Betty May Cragun in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple August 22, 1981.

He was a member of the LDS Church where he served as a High Priest, home teacher and President of the Young Men''s.

Neil worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Supervisor retiring in 1987.

He enjoyed all sports, basketball and baseball were his favorites. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. The happiest times were spent with family especially the annual Christmas Eve party.

Neil is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters, Deborah (Jim) Hicks, North Ogden; Brenda (Angie) Udy, North Ogden; Gaylynn (Cory) Lott, Roy; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to thank Larry and Matt, their home teachers, and IHC Hospice for the wonderful care during Dad''s last days.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 1st at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded.
