Our sweetheart mother, Nellie Pauline McHargue Gore, 92, passed away on Valentine''s Day, February 14, 2008. She was born September 30, 1915 in The Rock, Georgia, to Andrew T. and Chellie P. Bloodworth McHargue.
Pauline graduated from Columbus Industrial High School and lived in Columbus, GA; Moultrie, GA; and Washington Terrace, UT. She married John L. Gore August 6, 1939. They were later sealed in Salt Lake Temple. He passed away June 30, 1989. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as Stake Primary President for 19 years, Ward Primary, Relief Society, and Young Women Presidents as well as many other church positions. She also served as a temple worker in the Ogden Temple. Church activity was the joy of her life!
Pauline worked as a school lunch manager for Muscogee County School District and was President of Muscogee School Food Service Association. She served for 20 years as a senior companion in Weber County at Harrison Regent Retirement Residence, and as a volunteer for Golden Hours Senior Center. She was an accomplished seamstress, did beautiful embroidery, loved to cook for family, friends and missionaries, and enjoyed singing in the church choir.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula (Philip) Wright North Salt Lake, UT, and Brenda (David) Lovell Kent, WA; 10 grandchildren; 21great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilford (Betty) McHargue Atlanta, GA and Paul (Gay) McHargue Mapleton, UT. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, a step-daughter, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday Februrary 16, 2008 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may call beginning at 12:30 pm prior to services. Interment Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, in Ogden, UT.
