She was born June 4, 1943 in San Francisco, California, a daughter of Jerome Rasmussen and Nellie Beatrice Berneau.

On June 16, 1961, Nellie married Vern Loyd Metcalf in Washington.

She worked as a Data Entry clerk at NASA.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8th at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends prior to the services from 9 to 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden, Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
