Nello Guido Cipollini

SOUTH OGDEN - Nello Guido Cipollini, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning, August 8, 2014 after a valiant battle against brain cancer. Nello was born on February 2, 1935 in Wells, Nevada to Ovidio and Silvia Lenci Cipollini where he was raised.
He married Alice Gaetana Bruch on November 19, 1960 at our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The couple raised two children, Joe and Susan. Nello and Alice have been residence of Ogden since 1966. Alice and Nello were faithful members of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Nello retired from Hill Air Force Base after 26 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Alec, Mason, Gage, and Claire.
Nello was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus for 58 years. He held many leadership positions in the order including Grand Knight of Council 777 and Faithful Navigator of Assembly 1429. He lived the K of C principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Nello is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice Cipollini, South Ogden; son, Joseph (Kristi) Cipollini, Mesa, Arizona; and daughter, Susan Hopkins, Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren.
His parents and brother, Joseph Cipollini preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 E 5500 S, South Ogden. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
