Nettie (Nathalia) Heinze Gould, 93, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She was born May 18, 1916 in Sugar City, Madison, Idaho to Gottfred and Katharine Maier Heinze.
On September 6, 1936, Nettie married Chester Gould in Shelly, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Chester preceded her in death on February 27, 1992.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings.
Nettie was a candidate for the Utah State Legislature and worked as an election judge for many years.
She was a skilled seamstress and sewed many clothing items for her children including numerous wedding dresses. She was an avid gardener and always kept an immaculate yard, garden, and home, sharing produce with family and friends. She loved camping, fishing and dancing.
Nettie is survived by a son, Dennis Chester (Jimmie) Gould, Layton; three daughters, Carolynn (Wayne) Gibson, West Weber; Dawna (Phillip) Werno, Unionville, MI; Arlene (Bill) Mitchell, Brigham City; 14 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry (Edna) Heinze, Burley, ID; Reuben Heinze, Richland, WA; and a sister, Frieda Neiwert, Burley, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Fred, John, Edward, Melvin George, Albert, three sisters, Lydia Winters, Pauline Knopp, Irene Marvin, three grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13th at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., at the mortuary.
Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
