Newell James Bryson

Newell James Bryson died September 24, 2017 after a short illness.

He was born April 1, 1929 in Bountiful, Utah to Allen and Corrilla Glover Bryson.  He was a lifelong resident of Bountiful.  He married Bonnie Hart, June 16, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Newell graduated from Davis High School in 1947, and was faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and fulfilled many callings.  He served a mission to the New England States from 1949-1951 under the administration of  S. Dilworth Young.  He loved his country and served in the Army stationed at Fort Ord, California.  He was associated with the automobile repair industry.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie and three children; Jeffrey (Tami), Connie (Dean) Larson and Gary; five grandchildren; Mark, Marcy, Matthew, Jared, and Jason; one great-grandson and a great granddaughter on the way.  He is also survived by four brothers and a sister; Dean, Neil, Wallace, Wayne and Alene.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Barton Creek Ward Chapel, 600 S. 750 E. Bountiful.  Friends may visit family on Thursday Sept. 28th from 6-8pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church prior to services.  Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Bountiful.
