Nicholas Field

June 24, 1980 — October 13, 2023

Nick Field, son, husband and father, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday October 13, 2023. He was born in Layton on June 24, 1980.

Nick graduated from Northridge High school and later attended the DATC in the Autobody Tech Program.

Nick enjoyed being a bachelor and hanging with his buds, playing poker, snowboarding, yearly birthday campouts, and trips to Vegas and Wendover. On one Wendover trip with his grandma Pat,  he won a  beautiful Red Limited Edition Ford Lightening Racing Truck and was featured in the local newspaper.

He was happy to end his bachelor days when he married the love of his life, Kami Hayman. Together they had three beautiful boys, Nixon 15, Sam 12, and Sebastian 6. Nick loved being a dad, his hijos were his pride and joy. They enjoyed shooting guns, talking about cars and speakers, watching movies and just hanging out.

Nick was a very talented craftsman, who took pride in every project, whether home improvements, or working on his and Kami’s cars. He was an excellent specialty painter – able to paint vehicles or Hi-Fi speakers. He was a true audiophile. His love of music ranged from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Tool.

Nick’s long dark eyelashes and mild demeanor endeared him to those who knew him. Most were surprised to know that he had a mischievous side, who loved practical jokes, like pouring cold water on Kami while she was showering or wrapping tiny gifts in huge boxes. He was a man of few words, but that was OK because Kami talked enough for the both of them.

Good bye Nick, we love you. Thank you for the memories. We will love you always and miss you forever.

Until we  meet again.

Nick is survived by his wife Kami, his sons Nixon, Samuel, and Sebastian. His mother and stepfather, Gail and Dan Kurr. His sister Kim (Jeremy) Bilodeau, nieces Colette and Jocelyn. His grandma Carmen Ruybal, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his grandpa Samuel Ruybal. His grandma Sue “Pat” Ward. His uncle Vince Goodwin and cousin Alexandra Boog.
