Nicholas John Lindeman
The heavens filled with joy and laughter on Tuesday September 13, 2011 when Nicholas John Lindeman was taken from this earth and set free from his pain and suffering. While the heavens may be glad to have his amazing spirit amongst them, the people here on earth are mourning the loss of such a beautiful young man.
Carl and Barbara Lindeman welcomed their baby boy, Nick, into the world on June 28, 1983 and for 28 years he brightened their lives. Even at a young age, Nick was very talented. At 18 months he was given a wooden puzzle with pieces inside of pieces. Without looking at the picture he dumped the puzzle out and proceeded to put the puzzle together declaring what each picture was and where it went getting all of it correct.
Growing up, Nick was an accomplished Boy Scout achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and had earned 38 merit badges. As a young man, Nick taught himself all about computers and with very little schooling, developed a career as a Database Administrator and Computer Tech most recently working for Novarad. Nick had so many talents and excelled at almost everything he attempted. He was an avid snowboarder and was already counting the days until he could ride again. He also had a knack for playing video games and at one time ranked as one of the top players in the world in one of them. When he wasn''t gaming or riding his snowboard, Nick was likely making goofy remarks on Facebook while wearing his Boba fet hoodie and petting his purr bot he called Yuki. Yuki was his favorite cat of all but he had a love for the entire feline species. Cats were just one of his many loves in life, he also cherished anything that had to do with dragons, cooking yummy desserts (and eating them) and drinking Rockstars. He developed a love for Easy Cheese and Ritz crackers at a young age, thanks to visits to his grandparent''s house. And for the last 10 years of his life they have been a treasured birthday present from his parents.
Nick''s witty and peculiar sense of humor brightened everyone''s day and will be greatly missed. In the words of his 14 year old niece Madi, "Everybody says that you''re gone but I know you better than that. You''re right here with me. Laughing with me, crying with me, smiling with me, helping me. You''re with me and I will never lose you. So even if everyone thinks you''re gone, I know in my heart that you never even left."
He is survived in death by his parents Carl and Barbara Lindeman, siblings, Bret Lindeman, Jordan and Alexa Lindeman, Alison and Nathan Dunn, eight nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Yuki.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
