Nicholas Creighton Owen 1985 ~ 2012

Nicholas Creighton Owen, 27, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home in Salt Lake City.

He was born on his grandma and grandpa Owen''s anniversary, March 14, 1985 to Kevin Grant and Mary Beth Pyper Owen. He was the oldest of three children, raised in Layton, and graduated from Mountain High School.

He was employed by Smith''s Marketplace and was residing in Salt Lake City with his girlfriend Patricia "Clover" Guerrero-Chavez, his snake Earl, and his dog Cheyenne.

Nick loved playing Disc golf, Hacky Sack, camping, fishing, hiking, and deer hunting with his dad. His dad considered Nick as his best friend.

He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Shantell (Allan) Bravo, whom he was especially close to, and Ashley Owen, all of Layton; as well as countless family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Creighton Owen, grandma Diane Pyper, and uncles Mike Owen, and Mike Pyper.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in his name at any America First Credit Union.
