CLEARFIELD a€" Nicole Ann Berglund, 19, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the University of Utah Hospital.

She was born August 7, 1992 in Lemoore, California the daughter of Michael Paul and Ann Loock Berglund. Nicole resided in Lemoore, California until the age of 14 and has resided in Clearfield since 2006 attending Northridge High School. She was born with Cystic Fibrosis and had fought a long hard battle until receiving a double lung transplant at the University of Utah Hospital on November 6, 2010. This transplant afforded Nicole the ability to "Breathe Easy" for the last 18 months. Nicole loved art, drawing, fishing, crafts and target shooting with her dad.

Surviving are her parents, brothers, Kevin (Stephanie), Tony, grandparents, Jim Loock, Harriet (Neil) Cover, Paul (Deanie) Berglund, Ann (John) Hubble and nieces Sophie Nikole and Amelia.

Preceded in death by her Aunt Shelly Berglund.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and special appreciation to the University of Utah Hospital with particular gratitude to the C.F. Team, the Lung Transplant Team and all the medical staff.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
