Nicole Diane Hawkes

1995 ~ 2018

Nicole Diane Hawkes passed away November 15, 2018 at the age of 23, due to respiratory failure.  An exceptional child from a young age, she walked with a book in her hands for years.  She attended Mountain View Elementary, LCA, Fairfield Junior High and was a third generation graduate of Davis High School.  She was a member of the Debate Team and Chemistry Club.  She played the violin from fifth grade in the orchestras, ending her senior year in the Davis Chamber Orchestra.

For six years, Nicole worked as a games attendant, supervisor, and manager at Lagoon, where she touched many lives.  She was on the fast track taking college courses in high school and was accepted to the University of Utah, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a minor in Human and Family Development on May 4, 2017, as well where she had the opportunity to be an intern with the Utah Legislature.  After graduating, she landed a job as a collections officer at Horizon Credit Union in Farmington.

Every person who Nicole touched was amazed with her kindness and grace.  A beautiful person inside and out who will be so missed.

Nicole is survived by her mom, Georgina Drakos, her dad Keenan Hawkes, her sister Nina Hawkes,  her half brother, David Drakos, three half sisters, many Aunts Uncles and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
