Nila Kaye Forsberg

Nila Kaye Forsberg returned to her Heavenly Father and Family on Monday, May 29 2017, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Nila was born on March 10, 1951 in Huron, South Dakota to Don L. and Norma Johnson Braithwaite. She was raised in Loa, Panguich, and Perry, UT. After graduating from Box Elder High School, Nila attended Weber State College earning associate’s degree.
Nila married Karlan Forsberg on June 16, 1972 in the Logan LDS Temple. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nila served in various positions throughout her life in the Relief Society, Primary, Young Women’s, Sunday School, Scouts, and while attending Weber State she served with her husband as a Missionary in the College Stake.
Some of her hobbies included cooking, sewing, playing games, family BBQs, camping, and shopping. Nila was also involved in Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother above all else. Every opportunity she had to spend time with family was filled with love. She will be greatly missed.
Nila was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Braithwaite and her brother, Fred. She is survived by her husband, Karlan and her children, Jonathan (Amy), Christina (Aaron) Flinders, Jason (Sheryl), Mindy Sharpe, Kent (Jennifer), Steven “Kade” (Morgan); all of her 18 grandchildren, Lawson, Kodie, Josie Andie, Colby, Ashlyn, Taryn, Drake, Tate, Gage, Tamblyn, Kennadee, Skyelar, Easton, Boston, Hannah, Grace, and Westley; her father, Don Braithwaite; sister, JoAnn Kunzler; and brothers, David, Norval, and Barry Braithwaite.
We would like to thank the medical staff and care takers at Utah Cancer, Dr. Stinnett, Lisa, Debbie and Sylvia. The ER and ICU staff at St Marks, Dr. Jessica Hunn, the CNS staff for their excellent service and care.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Poplar Stake Center, 1745 North 2300 West, Farr West. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Riverside, Utah Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
