Nina L Tibbetts

Nina L. Tibbetts Nina L. Tibbetts, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She is now singing and gardening with the angels. She was born on June 22, 1924 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Oscar Ellis and Dorthy V. Cook Means. She married her best friend, Merrill Luther Tibbetts on February 26, 1943 in Portland, Maine. Merrill passed away on October 22, 2005 in Oregon. Nina is survived by her children, David M. Tibbetts, Barb Niewiarowski, Paul H. Tibbetts and Marcie T. Fujikawa; 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Janice Means; and brother, Norman Means. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A private family gathering will follow. Interment, Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Ogden Utah Association of the Blind, 742 Harrison Blvd, Ogden UT 84404.
