1929 - 2020
On Wednesday, December 23, 2020 Lieutenant Commander Noel Keith Schilling, Sr. went home to be with the Lord.
Noel was born on November 13, 1929 in Lafayette, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy as a medic and a submarine officer over a 21 year period rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander; he retired in 1969.

Noel Keith, Jr. remembers his golfing advice, “Hit them long and straight and seldom”. Mary Catherine remembers that while growing up, her best friends loved to be able sit and talk with her dad. Elaine cherishes the memories of Noel telling her he loved her every night and playing with her girls.
Noel is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mabel; and his brothers, Gene and Bill. He is survived by his wife Mary; his children: Noel Keith Schilling Jr (Susan), Mary Catherine DeMarco (Anthony), Pamela Anne Lopez (Gil), Elaine Marie Farr (Joel); sister, Karen Sue Andrews; and brother, Kenny Burr Schilling; as well as 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Pam’s favorite memory is every time he came home safe from sea.
