Nola Marie Wheelwright Allred
OGDEN - Nola Marie Wheelwright Allred, 80, of Ogden, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Born in Ogden on March 31, 1932 to Ralph Hyrum and Mary Hilda Flinders Wheelwright, Nola was educated in the Ogden City schools, graduating from Ogden High School Class of 1949. She attended Weber State College and the University of Utah. She married Warren D. Allred February 18, 1955 and they raised four children.
Nola was a realtor for 20 years and also worked with her father in his construction business. She was also an active member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, Alpha Tau Chapter.
Nola was a voracious reader and grew to love her Nook. She was a world traveler and a world-class cook who prepared great meals for friends and family. She was also an avid theater-goer. And she loved her cats, even the naughty ones.
Nola is survived by her children, Ralph W. "Bill" (Jenne Parsons) Allred, Salt Lake City; Steven Scott (Kathy) Allred, Ogden; Penny (James Dayley) Allred, Ogden; five grandchildren, Dylan R. Allred, Julie Marie Allred, Corey Allred, Gabriel Allred, and Flora Allred; and by her brother, Carl R. Wheelwright, Roy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren Duke Allred, and by one son, Noal Warren Allred.
Mom, whatever is good in us came from you. We love you so much and will miss you always.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Nola requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
