Nola Welch Dean

Naola Welch Dean (81) passed away October 30, 2008. She was born October 3, 1927 in Tremonton, Utah to Samuel Welch and Minnie Jane Hughes. Naola married Melvin Charles Dean on September 17, 1948.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah. Naola was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served as an ordinance worker at the Bountiful Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitching and gardening.

She is survived by five children: daughter Brenda; sons Dewayne (Vickie), Douglas (Kathy), Stanley, and Wallace (Susan); 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister Minnie Lewis (Centerville, UT); brothers Samuel Welch (Farmington, UT), James Newel Welch (Boise, ID), Jonathan Welch (West Haven, UT) and Garth Welch (Pleasant View, UT). She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel, Minnie Jane and Phoebe; children Darrel and Mary Eileen Reed; grandchildren Wallace Bruce Dean Jr. and Kelton Blackner; brother Thomas Nash Welch.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11 am at the Bountiful 20th Ward, 102 E. 1400 S. Friends may call Sunday, November 2 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Monday 9:30 a€" 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment Lindquist''s Memorial Garden of the Wasatch.
