Nolan L. Harris

September 4, 1932 ~ July 6, 2017

SOUTH OGDEN – Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

He was born on September 4, 1932 in Layton, Utah, to Jennie Hadfield and Mellry Layton Harris. He married Luana Helen Jones on January 6, 1961. He was previously married to Delores L. Cooper in 1950. Nolan lived his entire life in the Ogden City area. He loved ducks, birds, horses, and being outside. And he loved his ice cream to the very end. He was a friend and a help to his family, friends, and so many others. Nolan had a strong faith in the Lord and peacefully joined him.

Nolan is survived by his children, Sid (Ruth) Pope of Pomona, CA; John (Debbie) Pope of West Haven, UT; Michele Harris of Mt. Lake Terrace, WA; Kathie (Don) Smith of Coeur D’Alene, ID; and Shelley (Curtis) Goodell of Sandy, UT; beloved grandchildren, Aaron Dike; Jennifer Smith; Amy, Nichol, Cody, Nicholas, and Nathan Pope; and Aubrey, Michael, and Jared Goodell; and nine great-grandchildren.

Nolan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Luana Harris; his son, Randy Harris; his parents, and one brother.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
