Nona Buck Andrews

December 26, 1920 ~ March 19, 2015

Nona Andrews, 94, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015.  A special gift on day after Christmas, Nona was born on December 26, 1920 in Amalga, Utah, the only daughter of Charles and Victoria C. Buck.

Nona married Ariel V. Andrews on March 1, 1943. As a couple, they spent many fun hours square and round dancing. Ariel passed away on August 19, 2005.

Nona was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She enjoyed crocheting and sewing.  She loved making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, baby blankets and crafts.

Nona was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She will be dearly missed.

Nona is survived by her brothers, Merlin (Frances) Buck and Lew Buck; sons, Boyd Andrews, and Jerry (Conna) Andrews; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ariel; son, Dennis Andrews; and brothers, Dewaine (Evelyn) Buck, Eugene (Cleone) Buck, and Lorin Buck.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.   Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
