Nona Elaine Pesnell Blotter
December 11, 1963 ~ December 3, 2019
Nona Elaine joined the heavenly choir on December 3, 2019, surrounded by her loving children.
Nona was born to Don and Norma Pesnell on December 11, 1963.
She was born in Ankara, Turkey, which is probably why Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. She believed in turning the music up too loud, giving children marshmallows, painted toenails, baking cookies on rainy days, sluffing school, homemade doughnuts, telling stories, licking the plate clean, and the love of her Heavenly Parents. She refused to help her children with their homework because “why should I do your homework, when I never did my own?” but loved to attend parent teacher conferences because she was so proud of her kids. Her daddy always used to say she had “champagne taste on a beer bottle budget,” and insisted her house be “mommy clean.” She was a dreamer and the life of the party.
Nona is survived by her children: Piper, Caleb, Mercedes, Joshua, and Logan; her mother Norma; her sisters Gayla, Lisa, Tammy, Tanya; her brother Tye; and her granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her father, Don and her sister Shaunna, and what a joyful reunion it will be.
