LAYTON a€" Nora Ilene (Sweet Pea) Jacobs Chamberlain having fulfilled her mortal probation here upon earth, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 3, 2008, peacefully in her sleep.

Nora Ilene Jacobs Chamberlain was born October 17, 1922 in Lyndyl, Utah, the daughter of Erastus Mt. Chesney and Lenora Josephine Forseyth Jacobs. She was the second of six children. Mother, was a wonderful child, young lady and woman. She married James William Chamberlain on June 4, 1940, at the tender age of 17. She and daddy were later sealed on June 16, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and eternity. This union was blessed with three boys and one girl.

Mother was a gentle woman who loved everyone she met and considered many as her friend as well as her sister or brother. She truly had a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and of her Savior Jesus Christ.

Ileen is survived by her husband James William Chamberlain, three sons, Dennis William, Robert Lynn (Candice), Greg J. (Heidi) and daughters, Leila Raylene (George) Erikson, and Darla (Mark) Barnes; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren with one due in May. These precious sons and daughters of God were her pride and joy and each one knew that they were her favorite, for she treated them all equally. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, three sisters, Molly McNair, Nina Sciarrino, Onda Rae Romero, and two brothers, Lynn Jacobs and Seth Jacobs.

Ilene served in many capacities in the Church and was requested and loved by those she worked with and those she taught. Her favorite position was working with the boys in the Primary. Mom worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She knew the importance of being an example, guiding and teaching her children and was a stay at home mom for many years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

The family wishes to express their special thanks to Applegate Hospice for their loving services.
