Nora F. Krebs
SOUTH OGDEN – Nora France Brown Krebs, 93, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at a local care center.
She was born November 4, 1915 in Eastington Dawdon, Sunderland County, Durham, England, a daughter of William Waslin and Florence Mary Mushens France.
She married John George Robert Brown on December 26, 1938 in Sunderland, England. He died February 23, 1963 in Romford, England. On November 5, 1974, Nora married Jess Smith Krebs in Ogden.
Nora was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many different callings, including a temple worker at the Ogden Temple. She and her husband served three different missions to the California Ventura Mission, Australia Sydney Mission and Colorado Denver Mission.
She worked as a secretary for Printing Works.
Nora enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, golfing, walking, traveling and housekeeping.
Surviving are her husband of South Ogden; two stepsons, John W. (Tami) Krebs and Lance P. (Valerie) Krebs; four stepdaughters, Claudia (Tony) Mazza, Sheryl (Lamont) Camp, Korinne (Blaine) Mauchley, Helene (Mark) Henderson, 24 step-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and one cousin, Ida McFarland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her first husband, Bob Brown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
