Nora “Nicky” Salazar, a devoted soul to her family, faith, and work, peacefully passed away in Hooper, Utah. Born in the vibrant town of Tolleson, Arizona in 1941, Nora's journey illuminated the lives of those around her until her last breath on March 21. 2024.
In her professional career spanning 30 years, Nora dedicated herself to the meticulous world of accounting at Hill Air Force Base. Her commitment and precision left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.
Outside of work, Nora's true passions came to light. A devout Catholic, she found solace and joy in the embrace of her faith. Moreover, a woman of many talents and interests, Nora delved into various hobbies including golfing, painting, fishing, knitting, crocheting - bringing creativity and warmth to everything she touched.
Nora's love for her family was immeasurable. She leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her surviving family members: her son Leigh (Annette) Salazar, daughter Mary Lesa Sepulveda, she also adopted her daughter's Louises children, Anetra Tapia, Dezmond Martinez, sisters Dorothy (Craig) Beasley, Pam Hafen, seven grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. In the hearts of those closest to her, Nora’s spirit will continue to shine bright.
She is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her—her dear Louise Salazar, Mary Harper, Sam Nelmida, Norma Opheikens, Alfred Nelmida, Rosalie Lemieux, and LeRoy Salazar. Their memories will forever live on through the stories and moments shared with Nora.
A visitation service will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. on March 24, 2024 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South in Roy, Utah. Friends and acquaintances are welcome to join in honoring and celebrating the beautiful life led by Nora Lee Salazar.
