Noreen Burton

Noreen Christensen Burton, 88, much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend returned to her Father in Heaven on December 26, 2013. Noreen was born February 8, 1925, daughter of Irving Fuller and Mabel Williams Christensen.

Noreen grew up in California and in Kaysville, Utah, where she graduated from Davis High School. She attended Utah State University and LDS Business College. In 1946 she met the love of her life, Jack Burton, and they married on September 5, 1947, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Jack and Noreen moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1953. Noreen was actively involved in her church callings. She was employed for many years at the Davis County Health Department. She was an amazing example of love and kindness to all those around her. She was a beautiful person who truly embodied the unconditional love of her Savior. She was adored by her husband, her children and her grandchildren. Her testimony of her Father in Heaven and her Savior was always firm and strong. We are so grateful to be able to call her Mother. She will live in our hearts forever.

Noreen is survived by her daughters Deanne Taylor and Shelley (Jerry) Reed; sons Paul (Susan) Burton and Rick Burton; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Kaye Salo. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.

We would like to thank the special nurses at Heritage Place Memory Care in Bountiful who cared so lovingly for our Mother during these past two years.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Friends may visit Sunday, December 29th from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
