Norene A. Jardine

January 31, 1933 ~ October 24, 2021

Norene A. Jardine slipped peacefully from the bonds of mortality on October 24, 2021, with her family around her. She was born January 31, 1933 in Ogden Utah to Archie James and Lottie Butler Anderson.

Mom lived her entire life in Ogden except for a short time in California while Dad was in the service. Her life of being in Ogden was a reflection of always wanting to be around family. She exhibited that love to all who entered her cherished home of 69 years. Their home was always a place where anyone was welcome. It was a home of love surrounded by family.

After graduating from Ogden High School she married her beloved companion Dick Jardine on January 17, 1951. They were later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple. Together they were blessed with two sons, Dick and Bruce.

Norene cherished her time raising and supporting her children and grandchildren. In her later years she cherished the memories and friends she made while working and managing the gift-wrapping department at ZCMI.

One of the greatest characteristics throughout her life was the love for serving others. As a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in many Relief Society, Primary and Young Women callings. Of the many great joys in her life, serving with Dad for 10 years as a Church Service Missionary at the Salt Lake Conference Center was a highlight.

Norene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a friend to many throughout her life. She loved to laugh and have a good time and instigated many fun and sometimes a little mischievous memories for those around her.  Her house was a home where people gathered. She always had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews like her own. Many athletic teams, church groups and neighborhood friends would always make their way to the Jardine home.

Norene is survived by her son, Bruce (Diane) Jardine; daughter-in-law, Sandi; six grandchildren, Lance, Nicole, Kacey (Mckell) Jardine, Lyndsey (Travis) DeVere, Tucker (Dayna) Jardine, Jenna (Trent) Boyer; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dick and her son, Dick Brent Jardine; parents, two brothers and three sisters.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered eternally in many hearts.

We will miss you and love you dearly, until we meet again Mom.
