CLINTON a€" Norma Joy (Thurman) Bergloff, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Davis Medical Center after losing a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born January 5, 1928 to Clarence and Christa Thurman in Roberts, Idaho. Norma lived most her life in Clearfield, Utah. She had also lived in New Mexico, Colorado and Missouri. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Norma had worked at Fram at Freeport Center and retired in 1992. Mom had suffered many medical conditions which she faced head on and fought a hard battle all the while she kept her sense of humor. Mom had many funny little sayings and quips that will be passed on for generations to come. Her family greatly loved and cared for her. She was giving and was always there to help us in any way she could.

Norma married Joseph Michaud in 1951, they were later divorced. She later married Clayton Bergloff.

Norma is survived by her children Maggie (Steve) Edlen, Jeanie (David) Christofferson and Dan (Linda) Bergloff and Paulette Hance. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Diann Millikan, Shawn Christensen, Michelle (Keith) Dashnaw, Kanin Rainey, Kara Bergloff, Clayton Bergloff, four great-grandchildren and three brothers, Basil (Helen) Thurman, Robert (Elaine) Thurman, Elliott (Carol) Thurman. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton, her parents, one son Norman Bergloff, three sisters Mary Arlene Kester, Carol Schnieder and Arletta Sibley.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Lindquist''s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street.

Special thanks to Jeanie for her dedicated, loving and continuous care of mom by taking her into her home when mom could no longer do it on her own. Special thanks to her loving caregiver, Kathy Griffenhagen. A special thanks to the compassionate doctors and nurses at Davis Hospital, University of Utah Hospital, especially Dr. Scholand and the pulmonary team, Vista Care and Inspirational Hospice for all their tender care to us and mom in her last days.
