Norma Rogerson Darby

Norma Rogerson Darby, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was born in Ogden, Utah on January 4, 1932 to Elijah Knapp and Mabel Clarke Rogerson.

She attended Ogden City schools graduating from Ogden High School in 1949.

Norma married Dean Stuart Darby on February 6, 1953. They were married for over 60 years. They lived in Eden, Utah for over 45 years. They had two sons: Del Stuart Darby and Neal Wayne Darby. Norma was very active in the Ogden roller skating scene at the Berthana Ballroom in her teens. She loved gardening and being a homemaker.

Norma is survived by two sons; Del Stuart Darby of Hyrum, UT and Neal Wayne (Victoria) Darby of Barstow, CA; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and the anticipated birth of Norma’s first great-great-grandchild.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Clark, Ray, Don, Wayne, and Kenneth Rogerson; and her loving husband, Dean.

Graveside services will be held on Monday July 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 5555 East 2700 North. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at at the Eden 2nd Ward, 2900 N. Hwy 162 Eden.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
